So I'm going to mention a few movies that are on their way to cinemas soon that have caught my attention. I only have two movies to discuss but they do look quite amazing.
Movie #1 : Me and Earl and the Dying Girl
I'll be honest the trailer for this movie has made me cry. I have very high expectations and am so excited for it to be released. Watch the trailer first please...

In my opinion some songs are only brought to my attention when they are in movie trailers, I usually appreciate them more. For example Milky Chance - Stolen Dance and Imagine Dragons - I Bet My Life, these songs I love but they sound even better hearing them in a trailer. We met Greg who is a not overly popular teenage boy, living below the radar. His mother breaks the news to him that a girl he knows, Rachel, has been diagnosed with Leukemia. Greg befriends her, at first to please his mom but realizes he enjoys Rachel's company.
Greg and Earl spend their time making movies together and realize the only thing they can do for Rachel is make a movie for her. The movie itself, appears to have a sense of humour while also being emotionally gripping. I am waaaaaay too exited for this movie. I believe it has already been released in America but is due for release in Ireland September 4th. YAS.
Movie #2: About Ray
I have no idea how I came across this movie trailer but oh well. So we have one of our first movies (or so I believe) exploring the difficulties of a female making the transition to a male. Once again watch the trailer people....

Again I love the song used in this trailer, Shawn Mendes - Life of the Party. What caught my attention of this trailer is that it is not your stereotypical movie. Unlike rom-coms, (which I love don't get me wrong) you can't predict the ending of this movie so easily. It's not just the difficulties faced by a young person who is transgender, but also the difficulties of the people surrounding them who care and are trying to understand in order to help.
There is controversy over this movie due to Elle Fanning who is a cisgender actress, portraying the role of a transgender. I believe it shouldn't be an issue, isn't the acting world all about being given a role and slipping into that role? Acting allows actors/actresses to explore others worlds. Anyway I have a feeling this movie should be good and am once again excited for its release. The release date in America is September 18th.
That's all for now anyway, peaceeeeeeeeee x
